Summer 2006 Auction
We asked the fans what they wanted the proceeds from the KtK
auctions to be used for—and you answered! By an overwhelming
majority, you told us you want the money to be used on an ad.
WE HEAR AND OBEY!
All money earned by this auction will be used to place a
full-page color ad in Sci Fi Magazine. This will cost about
$950, so we hope you bid big and bid often!
SPECIAL ITEM!
As enticement, we have a very special,
much-sought-after item in the auction—the UF Pillow Book! It's a
beautifully produced, professionally printed paperback
containing stories from some of the UF's best writers. Only 250
of the Pillow Book were printed, and none were available for
sale anywhere—until now! KtK managed to find a copy and is
offering it to you.

Wednesday, June 21, 2006 (noon Central Time) to
Wednesday, June 28, 2006 (midnight Central Time)
A Note About Participating in the Auction
Because of the nature of this auction, we will under no
circumstances allow any special favors for winning bidders. Your
final bid is a promise that you will pay up in a timely fashion.
Pleas such as "I get paid next week", "I'm going on vacation,
I'll pay when I get home", and "Some family things came up, can
I pay later?" will no longer be accepted. No money, no auction
item. When you make that final bid and are named the winner, you
have the obligation to follow through on the payment.
When KtK contacts the magazine and orders the ad for you all,
we enter into a legally binding contract and we must pay for the
ad. It will cost about $950, and we must receive that money on
time. No one on the KtK Committee can afford to finance this.
Also, please remember that you must include the cost of
shipping when you make your payment. If you don't include it, we
have to pay it out of pocket.

Auction Rules
 | You must be 18 or older to bid.

| You must use the bidding form
on the website to enter your bid on an item. All bids are in
US dollars.

| The first time you bid, you must provide your mailing
address in addition to your name and email address. This
information will be verified before a bid is accepted.
Sorry, this is required due to auction fraud in a previous
auction. We apologize for any inconvenience to our bidders,
but we hope to keep this auction trouble-free.

| The KtK Committee reserves the right to reject bids.
|
| Winning bidders will be notified via email.
|
| Payment must be made via cashier's check or money order,
payable to Susan Ellen Field, or by PayPal (payable to
nancykam@comcast.net). Remember to include the
shipping cost with the winning bid price.

| Winning bidder must notify
Susan Ellen Field what payment method he or she will be
using within one day of being notified of being the winning
bidder.

| IMPORTANT!
Payment must be received by July 7, 2006.
NO EXCEPTIONS! If payment is not received, the item
will be offered to the next highest bidder. If you do
not have the funds to cover an auction bid, please do not
bid.

| WE WILL SHIP INTERNATIONALLY! All you non-US fans, feel
free to bid. Remember, though, payment must be in US
dollars.
